Slovenia: Inflation increases in July
Consumer prices rose 0.41% over the previous month in July, below June’s 0.58% rise. July’s result marked the softest rise in prices since March. The moderation was largely due to falling prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages. In addition, prices for clothing and footwear dropped at a sharper pace.
Inflation came in at 2.0% in July, up from June’s 1.4%. Annual average inflation ticked up to 0.3% in July (June: 0.1%). Lastly, harmonized consumer price inflation rose to 2.0% in July, from the previous month’s 1.7%.
