Slovenia: Inflation inches up in June

Consumer prices came in flat from the previous month in June, following a 1.2% month-on-month rise in May. Seven out of the 12 sub-components recorded an increase in prices from the previous month, while the remaining five categories registered falling prices in the month. Prices for recreation and culture increased the most, while prices for clothing and footwear saw the biggest decline.

Inflation inched up from 2.0% in May to 2.1% in June, the highest print since February of last year. Harmonized consumer prices came in flat over the previous month in June after a 1.0% month-on-month rise in May. Meanwhile, harmonized inflation inched up to 2.3% in June from 2.2% in May. Annual average harmonized inflation in June inched up to 1.6% from 1.5% in May.
