Slovenia: Inflation ebbs in July from the prior month
Latest reading: Harmonized consumer prices rose 3.0% on a year-on-year basis in July, following a 3.7% rise in the prior month.
Relative to the previous month’s figures, there were reduced price pressures for food and non-alcoholic beverages (-0.3% in annual terms vs +0.6% in June), transportation (+3.2% vs +5.4% in June), housing and utilities (+7.8% vs +10.7% in June) and restaurants and hotels (+3.9% vs +4.0% in June). In contrast, price pressures were higher for recreation in July (+5.1% vs +3.9% in June).
Meanwhile, consumer prices increased 2.9% in July, following a 3.6% rise in the prior month.
Lastly, harmonized consumer prices fell 0.35% in July on a month-on-month basis, following a 0.47% rise in the prior month.
