Slovenia: Economic sentiment improves in May
Latest reading: Economic sentiment increased to 98.0 in May, following April’s 94.9. The latest reading was below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
In May, sentiment improved in the industrial sector (-5.8 vs -8.6 in April), the construction sector (+6.3 vs +6.2 in April), the retail sector (+20.2 vs +1.5 in April) and among consumers (-27.1 vs -30.6 in April). However, sentiment darkened in the services sector (+14.4 vs +14.6 in April).
