Slovenia: Economic sentiment improves to 12-month high in December
Economic sentiment came in at 95.8 in December, up from November’s 93.9. December’s result marked the strongest sentiment since December 2022. Consequently, the index remained below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
The headline print reflected improved sentiment in the industrial and construction sectors. Meanwhile, confidence in the services and retail sectors improved in December. Lastly, consumer confidence was up in December.
Considering indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations deteriorated, while the economic uncertainty index improved in December.
