April 11, 2022

Industrial output slid 0.2% compared to the same month of the previous year in February, which contrasted January's 3.1% increase. The figure was largely driven by a deterioration in manufacturing output growth. In addition, mining and quarrying output fell markedly.

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists project industrial production to grow 4.1% in 2022, which is up 0.2 percentage points from last month’s forecast. For 2023, the panel sees industrial production expanding 4.7%.
