Serbia: Inflation declines to lowest level since December 2022 in April
Inflation dropped to 15.2% in April from March’s 16.2%. April’s result marked the lowest inflation rate since December 2022. Slower price rises for housing and electricity were behind the reading.
The trend pointed up, with annual average inflation coming in at 14.3% in April (March: 13.8%). Meanwhile, harmonized inflation fell to 14.8% in April, from March’s 15.5%.
Finally, consumer prices increased 0.66% in April over the previous month, slowing down from March’s 0.86% rise. April’s result marked the weakest reading since December 2022.
