Serbia: Industrial output notches quickest growth since May 2022 in January
Industrial output increased 6.9% in year-on-year terms in January, which followed December’s 1.7% increase. January’s print marked the best reading since May 2022. The improvement was spearheaded by a faster expansion in manufacturing production. Additionally, mining and quarrying output fell at a softer rate.
Meanwhile, annual average industrial production growth fell to 0.5% in January (December: +0.8%). On a monthly basis, industrial output increased 0.1% in seasonally adjusted terms in January, which was below December’s 1.3% expansion.
