Serbia: Industrial output growth softens in September
Industrial output expanded 3.0% in year-on-year terms in September, which followed August’s 5.8% increase. September’s deceleration was chiefly driven by softer growth in mining and quarrying output. On the flip side, manufacturing production expanded at a faster pace.
Meanwhile, the trend pointed up, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 0.4% in September, up from August’s minus 0.9%. On a monthly basis, factory output contracted 1.1% in seasonally adjusted terms in September, contrasting August’s 1.9% expansion.
