Serbia: Economic sentiment improves in December
Economic sentiment came in at 104.0 in December, up from November’s 102.1. December’s result marked the strongest sentiment since December 2021. As a result, the index remained above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
The headline print reflected healthier sentiment in the industrial and construction sectors. That said, confidence in the services and retail sectors cooled in December. Finally, consumer confidence increased in December.
Relating to indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations improved, while the economic uncertainty index fell in December.
