Saudi Arabia: Inflation eases in April

Consumer prices fell 0.2% from the previous month in April, matching March’s decline. The decrease largely reflected lower prices for housing, water, electricity and gas; and clothing and footwear, which was partially offset by higher prices for hotels and resorts, and food and beverages.

Inflation eased to 2.6% in April from 2.8% in March. Meanwhile, the annual average variation in consumer prices rose from zero in March to 0.3% in April, the highest level in ten months.
