Russia: Inflation is stable in July
Latest reading: Consumer prices rose 6.0% on a year-on-year basis in July, unchanged from the prior month’s reading.
Relative to the prior month’s figures, there were higher price pressures for non-food goods (+6.4% in annual terms vs +5.3% in June) and food and beverages (+4.4% vs +3.4% in June). In contrast, there were reduced price pressures for services (+7.8% vs +10.6% in June).
Meanwhile, core consumer prices were up 5.2% in annual terms in July, following a 5.0% increase in the previous month.
Finally, consumer prices were up 0.54% in July in month-on-month terms, following a 0.87% increase in the previous month.
