Russia: Inflation picks up in June from the prior month
Latest reading: Consumer prices were up 6.0% in annual terms in June, following a 5.3% increase in the prior month. June’s reading was the strongest since November 2025.
Relative to the prior month’s figures, there were higher price pressures for non-food goods (+5.3% in annual terms vs +4.2% in May), food and beverages (+3.4% vs +2.9% in May) and services (+10.6% vs +10.1% in May).
Meanwhile, core consumer prices increased 5.0% on a year-on-year basis in June, following a 4.9% rise in the previous month.
Lastly, consumer prices were up 0.87% in June on a month-on-month basis, following a 0.17% rise in the previous month.
