Russia: Industrial production returns to growth in June
Latest reading: Industrial production was up 0.6% on a year-on-year basis in June, following a 0.7% drop in the previous month.
Relative to the prior month’s data, readings in June improved for manufacturing (+2.6% in annual terms vs +0.5% in May), mining and quarrying (-2.4% vs -2.7% in May), electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (-1.4% vs -2.2% in May) and water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities (-1.2% vs -3.4% in May).
In calendar and seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms, industrial production increased 0.1% in June, following a 0.8% decline in the prior month.
