Poland: Retail sales rebound in July
Retail sales rose 2.7% compared to the same month a year earlier in July, which contrasted June’s 1.9% decrease. July’s print marked the strongest expansion since February.
July’s notable pick-up was partly driven by a rebound in motor vehicles, motorcycles and parts sales. In addition, textiles, clothing and footwear sales also rebounded.
Meanwhile, annual average retail sales growth fell to 0.7% in July (June: +1.1%), signaling a worsening trend in the retail trade sector.
