Poland: Retail sales notch quickest growth since December 1999 in April
Retail sales grew 33.4% compared to the same month a year earlier in April, which was above March’s 22.0% increase. The result marked the best result since December 1999. Looking at the details of the release, motor vehicles, motorcycles and parts sales plummeted in April, while textiles, clothing and footwear sales gained steam.
Meanwhile, the trend improved notably, with the annual average growth of retail sales coming in at 17.3%, up from March’s 16.6%.
