Poland: Retail sales growth inches up in October
Nominal retail sales increased 5.4% year-on-year in October, slightly above September’s 5.3% rise. October’s expansion was broad-based, with the fastest increases recorded for furniture, radio, TV and household appliances; other retail sale in non-specialized stores; pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and orthopedic equipment; newspapers, books, other sale in specialized stores.
Meanwhile, annual average growth in nominal retail sales held dropped from 7.0% in September to 6.6% in October, marking the weakest reading since May 2017.
