Poland: Inflation moderates in June

Consumer prices rose 0.10% from the previous month in June, coming in below May’s 0.30% increase. June’s result marked the softest rise in prices since December 2020. The more tepid rise was mainly driven by a fall in the price of clothing and footwear, despite an uptick in the cost of transport.

Inflation dropped to 4.4% in June, which followed May’s 4.7%. Meanwhile, the trend pointed up slightly, with annual average inflation coming in at 3.3% in June (May: 3.2%). Lastly, core inflation fell to 3.5% in June, from the previous month’s 4.0%.
