Poland: Industrial output plunges in March
Industrial output plunged 6.0% compared to the same month of the previous year in March, contrasting February’s 3.3% increase. The print marked the worst reading since April 2022. March’s downturn came on the back shrinking mining and quarrying and manufacturing production.
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, factory output fell 5.5% in March (February: -0.2% mom). Meanwhile, the trend improved, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at an over one-year high of minus 7.3%, up from February’s minus 8.6% reading.
