Poland: Industrial activity falls in December
Industrial output fell 3.9% in year-on-year terms in December, which followed November’s 0.3% decrease. Looking at the details of the release, mining and quarrying output swung to contraction in December, and manufacturing output fell at a sharper rate.
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial production jumped 2.9% in December (November: +0.4% mom). Meanwhile, the trend improved modestly, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 11.3% in December, up from November’s minus 12.0% reading.
