Poland: Economic sentiment hits highest reading since February 2022 in November
Economic sentiment came in at 98.8 in November, up from October’s 97.1. November’s result marked the best reading since February 2022. As a result, the index remained below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
The headline print reflected stronger sentiment in the industrial sector and stronger sentiment in the construction sector. Meanwhile, confidence in the services sector cooled in November, while sentiment in the retail sector increased in the surveyed month. Lastly, consumer confidence improved in November.
Referring to indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations were healthier, while the economic uncertainty index fell in November.
