Peru: Inflation hits highest level since February 2009 in September
Consumer prices rose 0.40% over the previous month in September, a smaller increase than the 0.98% rise logged in August.
Inflation came in at 5.2% in September, up from August’s 5.0%. September’s figure represented the highest inflation rate since February 2009. Annual average inflation rose to 3.0% in September (August: 2.7%). Lastly, core inflation remained at 2.6% in September, matching the previous month’s reading.
