Peru: Business sentiment hits 10-month high in November
Business confidence rose to 52.8 in November, up from October’s 50.2 and marking the seventh consecutive monthly increase as firms reacted positively to the continued easing of restrictions on activity. As such, the indicator moved further above the 50-point threshold that separates pessimism from optimism among firms, and hit the highest level since January.
The uptick in firms’ expectations was broad-based in November, with views regarding their sector, perceptions of future demand for their products and the company’s financial situation all becoming more optimistic. However, despite improving, views on the labor market and company investment remained in pessimistic territory.
