Panama: Inflation comes in at highest level since April 2014 in November
Consumer prices increased 0.30% over the previous month in November, unchanged from October’s reading. Despite the stable print, a few sub-groups logged changes, with an ease in price pressures for food and non-alcoholic beverages and an acceleration in price growth for transportation.
Inflation came in at 3.4% in November, up from October’s 2.9%. November’s reading represented the highest inflation rate since April 2014. Annual average inflation rose to 1.3% in November (October: 0.8%).
