Panama: Economic activity grows at fastest pace since September 2022 in July
Economic activity expanded 12.6% in year-on-year terms in July, which was above June’s 7.4% increase. The print marked the best reading since September 2022. Robust commercial activity growth, a strong construction sector boosted by public infrastructure projects and an expansion in manufacturing activity underpinned July’s outturn.
Meanwhile, the trend improved notably, with the annual average growth of economic activity coming in at 9.3%, up from June’s 8.4%.
