Netherlands: Industrial production falls in June
Latest reading: Industrial production—excluding construction—fell 1.6% in calendar and seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms in June, following a 1.0% increase in the prior month.
Relative to the prior month’s figures, readings in June softened for manufacturing (-1.3% in calendar and seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms vs +1.1% in May) and mining and quarrying (-14.5% vs +7.8% in May). In contrast, the reading for water collection and distribution improved in June (-1.0% vs -4.2% in May).
In calendar and seasonally adjusted year-on-year terms, industrial production—excluding construction—increased 2.9% in June, following a 5.6% increase in the prior month.
