Netherlands: Business confidence sours in October
Business confidence fell to minus 5.6 in October from September’s minus 4.8. As a result, the index moved further below the 0-threshold, separating pessimism from optimism among businesses.
October’s downturn largely reflected manufacturers’ more pessimistic assessment of expected output compared to the previous month. Meanwhile, firms’ views on their order position turned less negative, and their perception of their stock of finished products grew more positive.
