Netherlands: Business confidence returns to optimism in January
Business confidence in the Netherlands rose from minus 0.4 in December to plus 0.6 in January, returning to optimism for the first time since the outset of the coronavirus pandemic in March last year as the index surpassed the neutral zero-threshold.
The improvement in sentiment levels was driven by rosier views on order books and expected output, with the majority of manufacturers anticipating a pick-up in production.
