Mexico: Remittances rise in February
Remittances came in at USD 3.9 billion in February, reflecting a 23.3% year-on-year jump, following January’s 19.6% year-on-year rise. The strong U.S. labor market continues to buoy remittances inflows.
On a cumulative 12-month basis up to February, remittances summed USD 53.0 billion, following the USD 52.2 billion registered in January. February’s 12-month moving average signaled a 27.0% rise from a year earlier (January: +26.6% year-on-year).
