Malaysia: Merchandise trade surplus widens in July
Latest reading: In July, the trade balance was USD +5.5 billion, following a USD +3.9 billion reading in the prior month. Over the last 12 months, the trade balance summed to USD +63.2 billion.
Merchandise exports increased 43.2% in annual terms in July, coming on the back of a 51.6% rise in the previous month. Merchandise imports increased 41.5% in year-on-year terms in July, following a 49.2% rise in the previous month.
