Luxembourg: Harmonized inflation comes in at highest level since September 2023 in February
Harmonized inflation rose to 3.2% in February, following January’s 3.0%. February’s reading was the highest inflation rate since September 2023. The rebound was driven by rising prices for transportation.
Annual average harmonized inflation fell to 2.6% in February (January: 2.7%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation fell to 3.2% in February, from the previous month’s 3.4%.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices increased 1.66% from the previous month in February, swinging from January’s 0.44% drop. February’s result marked the highest reading since August 2023.
