Luxembourg: Harmonized consumer prices record smallest fall in four months in December
Harmonized consumer prices rose a seasonally-adjusted 0.28% over the previous month in December, contrasting the 0.21% drop logged in November. December’s uptick was the sharpest increase in prices since August and largely reflected higher prices for housing and utilities.
Harmonized consumer prices decreased 0.3% on an annual basis in December, a more moderate drop than November’s 0.7% fall. December’s figure marked the smallest fall in prices since August. Meanwhile, inflation ticked up to 0.6% in December, from November’s 0.4%. Annual average inflation fell to 0.8% in December (November: 0.9%).
