Lithuania: Inflation ticks up in January
Consumer prices rose 0.49% from the previous month in January, contrasting the 0.03% fall in December. The figure was largely driven by a rebound in prices for food and quicker price growth for housing.
Inflation rose to 0.3% in January from December´s 0.2%, which had marked the lowest reading since December 2015. Meanwhile, annual average inflation fell to 1.0% in January (December: 1.2%). Lastly, harmonized inflation came in at 0.2% in January, contrasting the 0.1% annual fall in harmonized prices.
