Lithuania: Harmonized inflation falls to over one-year low in March
Harmonized inflation fell to 15.2% in March below February’s 17.2%. March’s figure represented the weakest inflation rate since February 2022. The moderation was broad-based, with reduced price pressures recorded for food and non-alcoholic beverages, transportation, and housing and utilities.
In addition, the trend pointed down slightly, with annual average harmonized inflation coming in at 19.5% in March (February: 19.6%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation fell to 16.6% in March, from the previous month’s 18.7%.
Lastly, harmonized consumer prices increased 0.65% over the previous month in March, marginally below the 0.66% rise recorded in February.
