Denmark: Economic sentiment increases in August
Latest reading: Economic sentiment went up to 91.6 in August, following July’s 90.1. The latest reading was below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
In August, sentiment improved in the construction sector (-9.9 vs -10.4 in July), the services sector (+7.8 vs +6.7 in July), the retail sector (+16.2 vs +15.1 in July) and among consumers (-8.8 vs -11.1 in July). In contrast, sentiment worsened in the industrial sector (-18.5 vs -17.6 in July).
