Lithuania: Harmonized inflation falls to over one-year low in April

Harmonized inflation eased to 13.3% in April, following March’s 15.2%. April’s result represented the lowest inflation rate since January 2022. The moderation was largely due to a more moderate rise in prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages.

In addition, the trend pointed down, with annual average harmonized inflation coming in at 19.2% in April (March: 19.5%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation fell to 14.5% in April, from the previous month’s 16.6%.

Finally, harmonized consumer prices increased 0.20% from the previous month in April, slowing down from the 0.65% rise seen in March. April’s result marked the weakest reading since December 2022.
