Latvia: Industrial production speeds up in March
Latest reading: Industrial production was up 9.5% in annual terms in March on a calendar-adjusted basis, following a 6.4% rise in the previous month.
Relative to the prior month’s data, readings in March improved for manufacturing (+4.4% in annual terms vs -1.9% in February), mining and quarrying (-21.4% vs -37.2% in February) and electricity and gas supply (+34.6% vs +33.5% in February).
On a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, industrial production was up 1.3% in March, following a 0.6% decline in the previous month.
