Latvia: Economic sentiment increases in July
Latest reading: Economic sentiment rose to 100.3 in July, following June’s 96.5. The latest reading was above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
In July, sentiment improved in the industrial sector (-3.4 vs -4.1 in June), the services sector (+3.5 vs +2.0 in June), the retail sector (+2.3 vs +0.4 in June) and among consumers (-7.5 vs -19.0 in June). In contrast, sentiment worsened in the construction sector (-10.4 vs -8.2 in June).
