Korea: Business confidence among manufacturing firms improves in May
Business confidence among manufacturing firms rose to 88.0 in May from April’s 85.0. Despite the uptick, the index remained below the 100-threshold that separates pessimism from optimism among businesses.
Business confidence rose among domestically-orientated firms, likely due to the removal of most Covid-19 restrictions in Korea in April, while confidence among export-orientated firms was unchanged.
