Kenya: Inflation remains stable in March
Inflation came in at 9.2% in March, unchanged from February’s result. The reading was primarily driven by rising prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages, housing and energy, and transport.
The trend pointed up, with annual average inflation coming in at 8.6% in March (February: 8.3%).
Lastly, consumer prices rose 0.81% in March over the previous month, accelerating from the 0.65% increase recorded in February. March’s result was the highest reading since October 2022.
