Kazakhstan: Inflation rises to near two-year high in March
Consumer prices rose 0.9% month-on-month in March, edging down from February’s 0.6% print. Higher prices for food, goods and services drove the acceleration, according to the Statistical Institute.
Inflation logged 6.4%, up from February’s 6.0% outturn and marking the highest reading since April 2018. Annual average inflation, meanwhile, inched up to 5.5% from 5.4% a month prior.
