Kazakhstan: Industrial production gains steam in June
Latest reading: Industrial production increased 8.2% in annual terms in June, following 4.7% growth in the previous month.
Relative to the previous month’s data, readings in June improved for manufacturing (+13.7% in annual terms vs +5.2% in May) and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (+16.9% vs +16.0% in May). In contrast, readings softened for mining and quarrying (+1.8% vs +3.0% in May) and water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities (-1.3% vs +2.9% in May).
