Kazakhstan: Industrial output grows at fastest pace in one year in March
Industrial output grew 5.2% in year-on-year terms in March, which was above February’s 1.7% increase. The print marked the best reading since March 2022. March’s notable upturn was primarily due to pickups in manufacturing and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply output.
Meanwhile, annual average industrial production growth fell to 0.2% in March (February: +0.4%). This signals a worsening trend in the industrial sector.
