Italy: Industrial production falls at a faster clip in June
Latest reading: Industrial production was down 1.0% on a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis in June, following a 0.3% drop in the previous month. June’s reading was the weakest since October 2025.
Relative to the prior month’s data, readings in June softened for manufacturing (-0.8% on a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis vs -0.3% in May), mining and quarrying (-0.6% vs -0.3% in May) and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning (+0.8% vs +4.4% in May).
On a year-on-year basis, industrial production declined 0.5% in June, following 1.1% growth in the previous month.
