Italy: Economic sentiment increases in June
Latest reading: Economic sentiment rose to 99.1 in June, following May’s 97.8. The latest reading was below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
In June, sentiment brightened in the industrial sector (-6.4 vs -6.9 in May), the construction sector (+1.9 vs -0.5 in May), the services sector (+4.6 vs +4.1 in May) and the retail sector (+13.1 vs +9.2 in May). However, sentiment darkened in among consumers (-22.2 vs -21.3 in May).
