Indonesia: Inflation stable in April
Consumer prices rose a seasonally-adjusted 0.13% over the previous month in April, following March’s 0.10% increase. April’s result was driven largely by higher prices for food and tobacco and clothing and footwear.
Inflation was stable at March’s 1.4% in April, therefore remaining below Bank Indonesia’s 2.0%–4.0% target range. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down slightly, with annual average inflation coming in at 1.6% in April (March: 1.7%). Core inflation came in at 1.2%, matching March’s print.
