Hungary: Inflation rises to five-month high in November
Consumer prices increased 0.1% over the previous month in November, after rising 0.6% month-on-month in October. The reading reflected higher prices for food, clothing and footwear, and consumer durables.
Inflation edged up to 3.4% in November from 2.9% in October, marking the highest reading since June and moving closer to the midpoint of the Central Bank’s target range of 3.0% plus or minus 1.0 percentage point. Meanwhile, core inflation, in seasonally-adjusted terms, remained steady at 4.0% in November.
Lastly, annual average inflation came in at 3.2% in November, matching October’s reading.
