Greece: Unemployment rate increases in February
February’s data paints a worsening picture of the labor market. The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate rose to 11.0% from January’s upwardly revised 10.6%, while the number of employed people decreased by 38,712 compared with January.
Meanwhile, the number of unemployed increased by 18,733 relative to January. Moreover, the number of individuals outside the labor force rose by 17,617 compared with January, representing a 0.6% increase.
