Greece: Inflation slows in February

In February, consumer prices dropped 1.3% over the previous month, following January's decline of 0.7%. The reading mainly reflected lower prices for clothing and footwear (-17.6% month-on-month), which offset higher prices for housing (+0.9% mom) and food (+0.8% mom). Annual inflation slowed to 4.4% (January: 5.2% yoy), the lowest rate since April last year. In addition, annual average HICP inflation (based on the harmonized index of consumer prices) rose from 4.9% in January to 5.0% in February.
