Greece: Harmonized inflation increases in December
Harmonized inflation rose to 3.7% in December, following November’s 2.9%. The increase was broad-based, with greater price pressures recorded for food and non-alcoholic beverages, transportation, and housing and utilities.
The trend pointed down, with annual average harmonized inflation coming in at 4.2% in December (November: 4.5%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation rose to 3.5% in December, from the previous month’s 3.0%.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices rose 0.10% from the previous month in December, swinging from November’s 1.11% fall.
